Woof, I'm Alma, the dachshund from "ALMA&GUSTL," and today I'm going to tell you the story of how it all began. Are you ready?
Here's the story of the creation of my favorite company, in which I, of course, play the leading role. (Suffice it to say: I'm not only the inspiration, but also the boss when it comes to product development. But you probably already know that!)
It all started quite innocently. It was Christmas , and we—my humans, that is—were giving each other dachshund gifts. Not just any kind of gift; no, it had to be something particularly stylish and unique. But the market was full of kitschy dog motifs and not-so-pretty products. And then a brilliant idea came: "Why don't we create our own high-quality products for dog lovers?"
At first, it was just a harmless thought—like, "What if?"—but then, when I first saw a handmade piece for us, I was immediately captivated! The products were exactly what I wanted: simple, yet beautiful, and full of love. My people really did a great job, I thought. The decision was clear: We're going to do it!
This is how the first ceramic products came onto the market. With a dose of dachshund love and a large portion of handcrafting. And honestly, I found it incredibly exciting when the first cups, plates, and bowls with dachshund motifs came out of the kiln. People were just as excited as I was!
The online shop was another great adventure. My people sat down, set everything up, and built the website themselves – without much prior experience in e-commerce. Naturally, I sat down in a comfortable spot near the desk and supervised everything the whole time. After all, it was my company, so everything had to be perfect!
And then everything happened very quickly. We launched the shop and started showcasing our products on social media . My personal favorite moment? When the first orders came in! I was so proud that all the hard work was paying off. And the many wonderful messages from our customers – wow! We received so much lovely feedback that I almost fell off my dog bed. The best part? People loved what we were doing – and that was just the beginning!
A real highlight, of course, was the Christmas business . Orders really took off, and we worked day and night producing and packing. Demand was so high that at times we almost couldn't keep up. But that was also a great feeling. And then the moment when we sent out the first packages. I tell you, it was simply magical to know that our products were now in the homes of so many dog lovers.
What I love most is when we send a package with one of my favorite products—like the Dachshund Sand mug or the beautiful Dusty mugs . It makes me proud to know that our customers can incorporate these little moments of joy into their everyday lives.
And you know what the best part is? We always make it with love. With lots of handwork and a genuine heart for dog lovers. So, I'm still monitoring every single order (from my cozy dog bed, of course), but now I also do quality control. After all, everything has to be perfect!

I'm incredibly proud that we've turned an idea into something so amazing.
